Cozy Swaddles - Wrap your baby up in a blanket like a little baby burrito, and they’ll be soothingly reminded of the womb. Since they wake up and cry when they wriggle free, an escape-proof swaddle is ideal, but it’s also got to be user friendly for a sleep-deprived parent. Socks - You’re looking for the ones that are good at staying on the baby’s feet, otherwise the perpetual missing sock hunt will drive you crazy. Hats - Many people believe that babies should wear hats all the time, but actually babies can go hatless between 55-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Still, it’s good to have a few (in varying sizes; baby’s head will change size fast).
Humidifier - This is great for helping your baby feel (and sleep) better when they’ve got a cold! Portable Playard - A playard is a worry-free play spot that can double as a portable crib, so it’s a great thing to have when traveling. Some playards come with diaper-changing stations and built-in bassinets, too. Storage - Do you have space to put all the new things you’re buying? Extra laundry totes, storage hampers, and toy cubbies could come in handy.

The disc-shaped, plastic-and-metal valve fits inside a baby-bottle cap and allows milk to flow to the baby but keeps saliva from permeating the bottle’s main chamber, so parents can save the unconsumed milk and serve it later.
