Um, Maybe… : Bottle Warmers - You’re not supposed to microwave milk because it can get hot spots which scald your baby’s mouth. Parents either buy a bottle warmer, or warm up bottles by placing them in warm water. Depending on how often you’re heating bottles, determine which is easier for you. Bottle Sterilizers - You can boil bottles to sterilize them, but owning a steam sterilizer can be convenient particularly for parents of immune-compromised babies.
Seasonal Clothes - Winter coat or bunting sack for winter babies - The bunting sack is a little easier to use with a newborn. Slippers or shoes - You could potentially skip this for summer newborns, since socks will keep their feet warm enough. For winter babies, find slippers or shoes that will be hard for them to kick off. Sun hat - Pretty necessary if you’re taking your baby out in sunburn weather since you’re not supposed to use sunscreen on your baby until they’re six months old. Swim diaper - Handy if you’re taking baby to the beach or the pool!
The past year was no different. Here are some of the smartest baby gadgets that launched in 2017—all designed by entrepreneurial parents. Breastfeeding mothers are always worried they won’t produce enough milk for their infants. But saving pumped breast milk and reusing it from one feeding to the next is tricky, since babies can contaminate an entire bottle with their saliva just by taking a single sip. aLoo is the first device that prevents contamination from baby backwash. The disc-shaped, plastic-and-metal valve fits inside a baby-bottle cap and allows milk to flow to the baby but keeps saliva from permeating the bottle’s main chamber, so parents can save the unconsumed milk and serve it later.
MUSIC - Joyous sounds will fill your home with the Baby Genius DVDs and CDs. The songs are exciting and clean, and characters give clean, clear, introductions to the English Language. There are no dull, slang words used. The songs help teach them the alphabet, counting, colors, animals much more. Examples of songs are Yankee Doodle, Old McDonald's, and many Classics that parents and grandparents can sing along with.
